CNC spinning usually requires die spinning. Once the product is formed, the spun product adheres to the mold. It can be difficult to remove the product from the mold, which can significantly reduce the production efficiency of the product. Compression usually needs to be considered. The demolding problem and some demolding methods are described in detail below.
1. Design thrust mold
For some spin-formed products with very high product heights, it is difficult to pneumatically release the mold. Therefore, the spindle mold can usually be used to make the inlay mold, and the spinning cylinder is connected to the other side of the inlay mold. When the product is finished spinning, the extension of the rotary oil cylinder and the tail top mold will drive the product to be released smoothly.
2. Design mold release
For products with special shapes, we usually design three types of demolding and spinning dies, one is a combined parting mold, the second is a petal mold, and the third is an eccentric mold. We can see the combined parting mold in the following pictures. Schematic. Taking the Venturi spinning product as an example, the mold 1 and the mold 2 are matched by the hole shaft. When the product is finished spinning, the bottom is cut off with a turning tool, and the mold 2 and the spinning product can be separated from the mold 1 together.
3. Air pressure demoulding
Pneumatic demolding is an economical and simple demolding method commonly used in spinning. . The CNC spinning machine connects the air tube to the spindle die. When the trachea is pressurized, air is blown out of the stomata. The pressure is higher than the pressure outside the mold. After the product is spun, the top of the tail is separated from the spindle die. The air pressure difference between the inside and outside separates the spun product. It will be demolded smoothly when demoulding, but the air pressure should be adjusted within a reasonable range. If the mold release is not smooth and the air pressure is too high, the product may eject from the mold and cause injury.
4. Design release angle of spinning die
If product conditions permit, designing a specific demolding angle will facilitate the separation of the product from the mold.
